I can't remember what website I found this information on but I think this is a great program. I signed up both Noah and Logan for it. They will both receive a free book, every month, until they are 5!! What a great program for kids.

CVS Trip 7/27

I had such a disappointing trip to CVS today. I had to get rainchecks for all the items that were free after ECBs - so that makes it two weeks in a row. Thank goodness CVS rainchecks don't expire. Hopefully I'll be able to use this to my advantage and combine it with a $/$$ coupon. Here are the two lonely items I picked up:
Schick Quattro razor $8.99, get $2 (look for the bonus boxes)
used $3 CVS Schick coupon (mailer)
used $4 Schick coupon
Colgate toothpaste $2.88, get $2
used $1 Colgate coupon
used $2.97 ECB & $.99 ECB (adjusted down to $.90)
=$.48 OOP, received $4 ECBs

Help Me Out!

Hey everyone - I need your help! I just got a call from one of the local colleges in town and they are intested in having me teach some couponing classes :) I'm so excited to do this, but I need some advice! I am going to be changing the name of my blog since I don't just post deals about CVS. Can you help me think of a new name for my website? I would be forever grateful :)

The cost - FREE!! The workshops take place every other weekend - click HERE to sign up for the next workshop which takes place July 25 from 10-11 AM. Final Kmart Trip

I decided to go back one more time to Kmart. I wanted to look some more at the toy items and I wanted to try to get some more great coupons to use for future trips. I scored on both :) I picked up a new toy for each of the boys. Logan got a cool circular saw for $5 and Noah got a musical Sesame Street toy for $3.50. I also picked up a birthday present for our little cousin who will turn 3 in October for only $9. The toys were pretty picked over but I only paid $14.50 for all three items so I think that's a pretty good deal! Here is what else I got:
2 boxes Cheerios $1.50 each
-used (2) $.55 printable coupons
2 boxes Honey Nut Chex $1.50 each
2 Vaseline lotions $3 each

=$10.84 OOP, received a $7 coupon to use on my next shopping trip!!

I had a ton of Kotex coupons that were close to expiring - these will all be going to one of the shelters in town. I am glad this week is over at Kmart - I think they were sick of me and all my coupons :) My store has been great during the doubles week! I used over 10 coupons each trip and the cashiers never had a problem with that. They were so impressed with my savings. How did you do at Kmart? Did you go this week? You can see my other trips there this week HERE.

Another Kmart Run

I had stopped at Kmart earlier this week. It wasn't too impressive - I got $75 worth of merchandise for about $20 OOP. Today though I really scored!! I had a $3 off your next shopping trip from the trip on Monday so I wanted to make sure and use that. I had heard that they were clearancing a lot of toys. I found a great bath toy for the boys. It was marked $5 but when I got to the register it only rang up $2.50 - I bought a candy bar for a filler item and all together it cost me just $.41!! SCORE! Here is what else I bought:(first trip - $20.15 OOP)
4 (3 roll) pkgs. Sparkle paper towels $2.99 each
4 (4 roll) pkgs. Angel Soft toilet paper $1.79 each

I got some really great deals this shopping trip! I didn't pay anything for the Pantene, Olay, or Cascade rinse and the paper towels and toilet paper only cost me $.78 for both items!! I also got three more coupons - $5/$25 health and beauty, $5/$50 grocery and drug and $5 off any purchase. I'm not sure if I'll use the first two coupons but I will definitely use the $5 one - maybe I'll be able to pick up some gifts!!

CVS trip - July 7

Tuesday after dropping Logan off at daycare, Noah & I ran to CVS. I had a couple of prescriptions to pick up and I wanted to do the Febreze deal again. Those types of items sold really well at my first garage sale so I'm trying to stock up for the next one. I did two transactions while I was there. I also spotted a ton of new clearanced items. I had read reports on My Frugal Ways that Bounty paper towels were marked down to $.22 but they were still priced at $1.24 at my store :( I'll keep checking back and hopefully I can get some for a super-cheap price in the future! Here are my two transactions:

CVS - July 6

This is a great week at CVS!! I had some ECBs that were getting close to expiring so I made my first trip there on Monday. Here is what I got:2 Dawn dish liquid $2/2, $1 ECB wyb 2
-used $.25 Dawn coupon
-used $.50 Dawn coupon
3 Febreze fabric refreshers $5 each
3 Febreze air effects $3 each, $5 ECBs wyb $10 of Febreze
-used (3) Buy one fabric refresher get an air effects free
4 Head & Shoulders shampoo/conditioner $4.99 each, get $2 ECB
-used (2) BOGO free H&S coupons
3 CVS brand tape $1.49 each, get $1.49 ECB
-used $32 in ECBs
=$2.70 OOP, received $26.47 ECBs

I did lose some ECBs but that's OK. I messed up and bought 4 Head & Shoulders since I had the BOGO coupon but the limit on that deal was three so I lost $2 right there. Oh well, it just goes to show that mistakes will most likely always be made when using coupons ;)
