Diapers.com Deal for First-Time Shoppers

There is a great deal going on at diapers.com right now if you like Luvs diapers.  They aren't my brand of choice but they work fine for my son during the day.  If I were a first-time customer I would be doing this great deal!  You can get the diapers for just $3.70/pack!!  Here's how:

1.  Sign up at Ebates.com

2.  Once you have signed up through them click on the "baby & kids" link.  Diapers.com should appear on the drop-down list.  Click on the link and it will connect you to the Diapers.com website.  By doing the deal through ebates.com you will earn an additional 1-4% back on your purchase.
3.  Add 7 packs of Luvs diapers ($6.99/pack) to your cart.  You'll need to add another item to your cart to get it over $50 - you should be able to find an item for around $1.99.

4.  Add code DIAPERS105 at checkout to take $10 off your order.

5.  Submit for THIS $14.97 rebate.

The final cost for seven packs of diapers + one item at $1.99 should equal out to $3.70 per pack of diapers!!  What a great deal on something us Moms need who have little ones!!

BTW, the reason I'm not doing this deal is because I did a deal similar to this one for Huggies with Diapers.com so since I'm not a new customer I can't take advantage of this awesome price :(

Thanks goes to Thrifty Mama for posting this deal and my Aunt Raylene for telling me about it!

Great Deal at Cash Wise

There is a great deal this week on select Quaker items at Cash Wise.  I ran there this morning and I will probably do this deal a couple more times.  By combining the in-ad coupon and some IP ones you can get the items for less than $1/box!  That's a great stock up price for me on cereal that I will actually eat!!

There a several ways to do this sale.  This morning I bought the items pictured.  I had two coupons for the Quaker oatmeal.  You can find that coupon HERE.  Since I had two of the coupons that brought the above items to just $.78 each!!  That is a great price on cereal!!  If you needed some granola bars you could use the $1/2 granola bar coupon that was in a recent newspaper insert.  If you combined one of those with three of the oatmeal coupons it would cost you just $.38 per item!

CVS - Taking Advantage of Two Weeks Worth of Sales

I had originally planned on doing three transactions so that I was able to also use a $3/$15 that I had but when the cashier hit the total on the first transaction I was actually at -$4.82!!  That's when I added in the Pampers.  I still didn't do too bad considering that altogether I spent $10.84 OOP and gained $3 in ecbs!!  I'm going to do the Pepsi deal once more and then submit for THIS REBATE after I pick up some beer :)

Another Fab Trip

Have I mentioned there is sickness in my house right now?  Last night Logan (my 4 yr old) was up off and on from 3 AM until I was able to take him into the clinic at 10 AM.  He now has ear infections to go along with everything else.  Hubby also stayed home today since he has decided to become sick too.  I hope I don't get it - I need to remember to pop some Zicam tonight.  This afternoon while everyone was napping I made a trip to Target (to pick up a vaporizer) and stopped in at CVS to pick up some necessities.  Sorry, no picture this time around - I didn't have the energy.  You'll just have to visualize in your pretty little head what I bought :)

Trans #1:
Accu check monitor $14.99, get $10
used $10 Accu check coupon
2 Oust air fresheners $3.99 each, get $3 each
used BOGO Oust coupon
used $5/$20 CVS
used $3 ECBs
=$1.29 OOP, received $16 ECBs!!!
That's an $11.71 Moneymaker :)

Trans #2:
Cottonelle $12.88, get $4
used $1 Cottonelle coupon
2 Oust air fresheners $3.99 each, get $3 each
used BOGO Oust coupon
CVS Vapor bath $4.69
CVS Electrolyte drink $2.24 (BOGO 50% off)
used $5/$30 CVS Medicare quiz coupon
used $2 off $10 CVS products coupon
used $11 ECBs
=$6.83 OOP, received $10 ECBs

I needed almost everything I bought in transaction two (except the Oust) but by doing the first transaction I was able to really build up my ECBs and use some of them towards the second purchase.

On another subject I ordered coupons off of eBay for the first time.  I've never bought coupons before over the internet and hopefully it works out because they really were a great deal!  I bought 25 Oust coupons for $3.19 (free shipping) and 20 $1 J&J baby coupons for $2.99.  I won't be able to use all the Oust coupons myself but I'll be sharing them with my Mom, Aunt and maybe have a giveaway for some!

Have you bought coupons from other sources?  Let me know of your experience!

This Is Gonna Be A Long One

Since I've been dealing with two sick little boys all week I HAD to get out of the house tonight!  So where else to go but CVS right?  I did three transactions while I was there.  This week isn't too good when it comes to ECBs deals but they did have some others that I wanted to score on!

Here is a breakdown of what I bought:

Trans #1:
2 Colgate toothpastes 2/$5, get $2
used $.75 Colgate coupon
used $1 Colgate coupon
Huggies pull-ups $8.88
used $2 Huggies coupon
2 packs 16 qt. storage containers $6.99 (BOGO)ss
used $5/$20 CVS coupon
used $9.99 ECB
=$3.08 OOP, received $2 ECBs

Trans #2:
2 Oust air freshener $3.99 each, get $3
used BOGO Oust coupon
2 Wonka gummies 2/$4, get $1
used (2) $1 Wonka coupons
2 Bioluxe products $9.99 (BOGO)
-look for ones with try me free rebate
2 Sterilite containers $5.99 (BOGO)
used $5/$20 CVS coupon
used $10 ECBs
=$8.35 OOP, received $7 ECBs + $9.99 rebate for Bioluxe

Trans #3:
Huggies $8.88
used $2 Huggies coupon
2 All HE laundry detergent $3.99 each
used (2) $2 All coupons
2 Bioluxe products $9.99 (BOGO)
-look for ones with TMF rebate
used $5/$20 CVS coupon
used $13.97 ECBs
=$2.14 OOP + $9.99 Bioluxe rebate

So as you can see I did use up $33.96 in ECBs and only received $9 back BUT I will be getting another $18.97 back in the form of prepaid Visa cards so I really don't have anything to complain about.  As I said before, CVS had some other deals that I wanted to do including the storage containers (for my stockpile), the Bioluxe rebates and the Huggies.  These transactions are some perfect examples of how you can use up ECBs - you might not earn the same amount back but you still have some to roll for next time.  And look at all the stuff I got!  This is the first trip in quite awhile that I will be able to use everything that I bought in all of my transactions for one day :)

Saturday night Mike took Logan to the monster truck show so Noah & I went up to my Grandpa's for dinner.  After some card playing I went to CVS with my Mom and Aunt and we hit the jackpot!  They had just marked down their Christmas merchandise to 75% off - yay!!  Some of their toys were also 75% off so I'm going to have some great gifts.  Here is what I got:

2 tubes of wrapping paper $.99 each
2 diffusers $.75 each
4 boxes of snowflake lights $3.75 each (only 1 pictured)
2 bags of candy $.99 each

4 bags of wrapping paper $.49 each
1 Accu check $14.99, get $10

Kohl's Microfiber Pillows for only $6.78!

Here is a great deal that I just stumbled upon.  I just ordered the pillows and was able to snag two of them for only $6.78!!  Kohl's has a TON of items marked down on their website, including Christmas items.  Since hubby & I are in need of some new pillows this deal was too good to pass up!  Kohl's has The Big One Microfiber Pillows marked down to just $4 each.  The deal gets better though!

- use coupon code Extra20 at checkout to receive an additional 20% off
- use coupon code NoCharge at checkout to receive free shipping

So all you'll have to pay for is tax.  My total due was $6.78 for TWO pillows!

To sweeten the deal even more shop through Ebates!  If you are new to Ebates you'll receive $5 just for signing up in addition to the 2% cash back you'll earn for shopping at Kohl's through their site.

CVS 12/31

Since I had some coupons that expired today I thought I better go to CVS and find some deals.  Here is what I got today:

Bayer Contour meter $14.99, get $5
used $14.99 Bayer coupon
2 Olay Regenerist cloths $6.99 each
used (2) $3 Olay coupons
Colgate toothpaste $2.99, get $2
used $1 Colgate IP coupon
used $5/$30 CVS medicare quiz coupon
used $3.98 ECBs
=$1.85 OOP, received $7 ECBs

So even though it's not that great of a week at CVS I was still able to build my ECBs by over $3!  The Bayer meter (which I'll donate) helped get my total up over the $30 mark so that I could use my $5/$30 coupon and scored me an additional $5 ECBs.

The Olay cloths are part of a current $15 MIR so that will be a nice moneymaker for me!  You have until Jan. 24 to do this deal.  This week is a great deal to do it though :)

December Charity Challenge

I cannot believe that Christmas is in just a couple of days!  Are you ready for it??  I have a couple of gifts left to get BUT I know what I'm getting so it's just a matter of making it to the stores.  Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to.  I'm posting the Challenge late again this month.  I did drop the donations off almost two weeks ago, I've just been neglecting the blog so this is the first chance I've had to write up the post.

This month I donated to a different organization.  We had Noah baptized earlier this month and in the church's program it mentioned "Gifts of Love".  Every year our church puts together baskets for families in the area that might not be able to afford food/necessities.  I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to donate to my hometown.  I gathered the items (I think I had 5 or 6 bags all together) and sent them with my MIL.  Here are the items that I was able to donate:

Pictured above are:
-6 pkgs. pull-up wipes
-10 deodorants
-11 tubes of toothpaste
-5 shampoo/conditioners
-4 body wash/bars of soap
-3 lotions
-3 razors
-4 shaving creams
-2 facial wipes
-7 feminine products
-4 air fresheners
-1 tylenol
-2 bodi heat pads
-1 ear rinse

That is a total of 53 items.  The approximate retail value of everthing pictured is over $250!!  It still just blows my mind that by combining sales with coupons I'm able to accumulate this much to donate - and that is in addition to stocking my house with essentials :)  And for anyone wondering/questioning I DO NOT clear the shelves when I shop - some items pictured I bought from rainchecks that I had to get because the stores were out of the items at the time.

Now it's your turn!  How did you do this month?  Were you able to donate?  Please leave your link below.  Don't have a blog?  That's OK too - just leave a comment!

CVS Trip 12/21

This is a great week at CVS!  There are quite a few items that end up being free or even money makers - which means you can get some things that you really do need for very low OOP (in my case I'm getting diapers this week!)  I made two trips to CVS today and plan to go back for one more tomorrow.  The second trip I made I had both boys with me so I forgot to get a couple rainchecks.  Here is what I got:

My card:
Pampers $8.88
used $2 Pampers coupon
Russel Stover boxed chocolates $4.99, get $1
used $1 RS coupon
2 Revlon lipsticks $6.99 each, get $5 each

used $2 Nivea coupon
used $5/$30 medicare coupon
used $18.98 ECBs
= $2.35 OOP, received $17 ECBs (got $1 from my green bag tag!!)

Mike's card:
Pampers $8.88
used $2 Pampers coupon
Russel Stover boxed chocolates $4.99, get $1
used $1 RS coupon
Revlon lipstick $6.99, get $5
used $2 Revlon coupon
Listerine mouthwash $3.99, get $3
used $1 Listerine coupon
used $1 CVS Listerine coupon (CVS flu booklet)
2 bags Lays chips BOGO
Huggies wipes $3.49
used $.50 Huggies coupon
used $2 Huggies CVS CRT
used $5/$30 CVS coupon
used $15.58 ECBs
=$3.69 OOP, received $9 ECBs

I LOVE weeks like this.  I think it is just GREAT when I can buy diapers and by using coupons and combining sales I'm able to get so many things for so little OOP.  This goes to show why CVS is a great store to shop at!!

Target 12/9

I ran to Target this morning to do the Keebler deal ($5 GC wyb 5 qualifying products).  I found a couple of other deals along the way.  Here is what I got:

Glad ClingWrap $1.99
2 Toblerone bags $2.99 each
used (2) $1 Toblerone coupons
2 Swiss Miss hot chocolate $.97 each
used (2) $1 Target coupons (adjusted to $.97)
2 Gillette razors $7.94 each
used (2) $4 Gillette coupons
2 DanActives $1.99 each
used (2) $1 DanActive coupons
2 boxes Flipside crackers $2 each
used $1/2 Flipside coupon
3 boxes Cheez It crackers $2 each
used (2) $.75 Cheez It coupons
used (2) $5 Target gift cards
$.10 bag credit
=$14.36 OOP, received $10 in Target gift cards

I had hoped to do the Glade deal again but of course my store doesn't have the correct products so that I just pay tax on the items - grrr!!  I swear they have them in the back room or something!  I got a great deal on everything and it is all stuff that we needed (minus the razors but that deal was too good to pass up!)  You can even sweeten the deal on the Swiss Miss if you have the $.50/2 mannie to go with it.  I DO have that coupon but forgot until I was finished with the transaction.

My Charity Challenge will take place next week.  I can't believe it's almost the middle of December!!  I have my coupon class tomorrow night - wish me luck and that people show up :)  I'll be giving my donations to my MIL tomorrow night (I'm donating to our church this month) and I will post more about it next week.
