Target Trip $95 Savings!

Ugh, does anyone else have problems reading Targets receipts?  I'll explain at the end of the post.
I had another wonderful trip to Target again.  And my favorite cashier from last time was working too!!  My subtotal came to $113 but after coupons/gift cards I only paid $31!!  Here is what I got:
Pictured above:
4 John Freida products $5.99 each
used (4) $5 JF coupons - only 2 were rung up though
used (2) $3/2 Target JF coupons
7 Q-tips $1.89, get $5 gc wyb 4 Q-tips products
Q-tips $2.39
5 packs Up&Up baby food $0.77 each
used (5) $0.50 Up&Up baby care item coupons
4 packs Gerber baby food $1.09 each
2 Kraft dressings $1.59 each
used $1/2 Kraft coupon
used $1/2 Target coupon
3 boxes Cars cereal $2.50 each
used $1/3 Kellogg's cereal coupon
used $1/3 Target coupon
3 boxes Kellogg's cereal $8.87 total
used $1/3 Kellogg's cereal coupon
used $1/3 Target coupon
Target pasta $1.09
Target spaghetti sauce $1.34
used $1 Target coupon wyb pasta & sauce
Pictured below:
2 pkgs. Huggies $8.99 each
used (2) $3 Huggies coupons
Monkey toothbrush holder $9.99
used $10 Target bathroom coupon
Monkey tumbler cup $9.99
used $10 Target bathroom coupon
2 pkgs. Oreos $2.79 each
used $1/2 Nabisco coupon
used $1/2 Target Oreo coupon
used (4) $5 Target gift cards
received $0.20 for shopping bags
=$31.97 OOP, received $10 in Target gift cards

So once I got home and started looking over my receipt I noticed that only 2 of the $5 JF coupons were rung up.  This is so frustrating and annoying since now I'll have to go back and get the refund on two of the shampoos.  I'm just glad I have more of the coupons so I can do that deal a couple more times.

On a happier note are those monkey bathroom items not the cutest things ever??  I LOVE the $10 bathroom coupon!  I didn't see a soap dish tonight though so I'll have to check for one the next time I get there.

I hope they get the Q-tips restocked too.  Although the next time I do the deal I'll do the $2.39 size packages since you get 100 more for just $0.20 difference.

CVS 6/19

I made a quick run to CVS today to get some of the free items and to continue stocking up on drinks for Logan and his friends for the summer.  Here is what I scored:

5 Powerade drinks $5/5, get $2 wyb 5

LA Looks gel $2.99, get $2
2 Colgates $2.79 each, get $2 each

Spiderman car for Noah $6.29
used $5/$20 CVS coupon
used $19.99 in ecb's
=$3.90 OOP, received $14.48 in ecb's

I did end up losing some ECB's but since Logan got a slinky the last time we went to CVS it was Noah's turn to get something.  He had wanted a 5 pack of Matchbox cars for $9.29 but once I showed him the Spiderman car he was happy with that :)

DiapersDirect Deal is back on Groupon!

If you missed it the first time the DiapersDirect.com deal is back on Groupon.  The deal runs through the end of today so don't miss out to get diapers for roughly 30% off!

Click HERE to get the deal!  Since it's an online deal you can search under any city, even if you don't see yours listed.  I know this deal is listed under Minneapolis/St. Paul if you're unable to find it under a different city.

29 Cents For All That?!?!

Ok, well, technically I paid $25.29 but I still think that's a great deal for 120 diapers, a bottle of body wash and a pack of wipes.  I got this deal with a recent Groupon purchase.  A couple of weeks ago they had a deal that for $25 you could get a $50 certificat to DiapersDirect.com.  I checked out the site and even though their prices are generally higher than Amazon.com, once you factored in that you were getting everything for half price it ended up being a good price for me to get diapers.  When diapering 3 kids it's amazing how quick they go through a pack.  It feels as though I'm constantly buying diapers and scouting for diaper deals so when once comes along that is decent I jump on it!

When the deal first came out I bought some of the overnites.  That ended up costing me $0.47!!  (OK, again $25.47) but I got 4 packs of them.  These packs are usually $9.99/pack so I still saved over $15 by doing the deal through DiapersDirect.com.

I highly suggest signing up for the email/phone alerts from Groupon.  Even if you don't have one very close to you (nearest city for me is over 6 hours away) you can still get in on the online deals!

Target Trip 6/13

I heard about some great Target coupons and I just could not pass up the deals!  Here is what I got:

2 packs of Dannon Danimals (not pictured) $2.74
used (2) $1 Danimals coupon
used (2) $1 Danimals Target coupon
2 packs of socks for Logan $2
4 packs Up&Up baby food $.082
used (4) $0.50 Up&Up Target baby item coupon
2 boxes Cheez It crackers $2.99
used (2) $0.70 Cheez It coupons
Bathroom rug $9.99
used $10 Target bathroom item coupon
Bathroom rug $14.99
used $10 Target bathroom item coupon
=$16.86 OOP

I was so happy with my purchase tonight considering I got everything pictured for the price of the one bathroom rug.  The bathroom coupon has NO restrictions on it meaning it's not brand specific or item specific.  So you could, basically, use it for anything for the bathroom!  Same with the baby item coupon.  I'm hoping to go back and get some more of the baby food since the twins are eating between 8-10 containers a day so 32 cents is a GREAT stock-up price!

"Are you going to Extreme Coupon it?" she asked.

That's what the cashier asked when I began to check-out at Target tonight :)  I had a wonderful trip there - by far the best shopping trip that I've had there in a long, long time.  I actually MADE money there!!  Here is what I got:

Pacifiers for Xander $3.99
Pacifiers for Oliver $4.29
3 packs of socks $10 (will be returning 2 packs - I'll explain)
Pampers $8.99, get $5 gift card wyb 3 Huggies or Pampers
used $1.50 Pampers coupon
used $1 Pampers Target coupon
2 packs Huggies $8.99
used (2) $2 Huggies coupons
3 John Freida shampoos, get $5 gift card wyb 3
used (3) $5 JF coupons
used $3/2 JF Target coupon
3 John Freida conditioners, get $5 gift card wyb 3
used (3) $5 JF coupons
used $3/2 JF Target coupon
used $3/2 JF Target coupon
used $5 gift card
used $50 purchase coupon (receive $5 gift card when you spend $50)
=$16.76 OOP, received $20 in gift cards!!  $3.24 moneymaker!

I had not intended to buy the socks but they were on an endcap that had them clearanced to $2/3 pack but when I got home I noticed that two of the packs rang up at $4.  I'll return the two that were regularly priced and get two more of the clearanced packs.  Have I confused you?  It's late and I think I've confused myself.

Ok, onto my next purchase.

I ran to CVS after my great trip to Target.  As I walked through the door the cashier reminded me that they closed in 7 minutes.  I had my list so I wasn't too worried.  Here is what I purchased:

5 Powerades 5/$5, get $2 wyb 5
Huggies diapers $8.99, get $2
used $2 Huggies coupon
3 Motrin PM $4 each, get $3 each
used (3) $1 Motrin PM coupons
Zyrtec $5.99, get $5.99
used $2 Zyrtec coupon
used $5/$20 CVS coupon
used $5 in ECBs
=$16.60 OOP, received $18.99 in ECBs

If I'd have split this up into a couple of different transactions by OOP would have been much lower but since I only had 7 minutes I decided to do them all together.  I did manage to build my ECBs by almost $14 so I can't complain about that!

Building Those ECB's

I ran to CVS after work last night and scored on some stuff.  It was pretty much a given that they would be out of the mouthwash and toothbrushes (yes, I got rainchecks!) so luckily I had a back-up plan.  Here is what I got:

5 Fuze drinks $5/5, get $2 wyb 5
Ban deodorant $2.99, get $2
Huggies diapers $8.99, get $2
used $2 Huggies coupon
Preparation H wipes $3.99, get $4 (raincheck item)
used $2 Prep H coupon
used $5/$20 CVS coupon (newspaper e-coupon)
scanned green bag tag
used $9 ecb's
= $3.75 OOP, received $11 ecb's

I got $1 in ecb's since I had scanned my green bag tag 4 times.  This $5/$20 coupon is great and it doesn't beep like some of the other ones that you can print off!  I plan to do another transaction similar to this on my other card.  With the $/$$ coupon this is a pretty good time to stock up on diapers.  I was running low so between CVS and Target this should help get my supply up :)

CVS Trip 6/5

CVS has some great deals this week.  Here is what I got when I stopped there on Sunday:

5 Vitamin waters $5/5, get $2 ecbs wyb 5
used $1/5 Vitamin water coupon
2 Oral-B Pulsar toothbrushes $6 each, get $3 ecbs each
used (2) $3 Oral-B coupons from 6/5 P&G
2 Crest mouthwashes $4.50 each, get $2.50 ecbs each
used (2) $2 Crest coupons from 6/5 P&G
used $4/$20 CVS coupon
used $10.99 ecbs
= $1.33 OOP, received $13 ecbs

If I would not have had to pay tax my OOP would have been a penny!!  Those $/$$ coupons really help bring the OOP down and in some cases (like this one) build up the ecbs a little more!  CVS has a pretty decent diaper deal going on this week that I might do but the one at Target is about the same deal and I'll be able to roll my $5 Target gift card.  I have 20 Huggies coupons that I can use and since the diaper deal at CVS is a limit of one I think it might just be better to do it at Target.  I'll post my results for that transaction soon!!

CVS 6/1

I had a great trip to CVS today.  I lost a whopping penny in ECBs but got some good stuff in the process.  Mike likes the Vitamin waters so that alone was worth the trip.  Here is what I got:

2 Milky ways 2/$1, get $1 wyb 2
5 Vitamin waters 5/$5, get $2 wyb 5
used $1/5 Vitamin water coupon
2 Oral-B toothbrushes $1.99, get $1 for each
used (2) $1 Oral-B toothbrush coupons from P&G saver booklet
Preparation H travel wipes $3.99, get $3.99
used $2 Preparation H coupon
Revlon pressed powder $9.99, get $4
used $6 Revlon CVS CRT coupon
used $12 ECBs
$2.34 OOP, received $11.99 ECBs

I got lucky and got the $6 Revlon coupon from the magic coupon machine when I went there.  I was able to find the powder for $9.99.  Even though it says you need $10 to qualify this item still worked.

This Weekend

Here is what my hubby worked on this weekend:

And here is what I got to enjoy this weekend:

Logan, Noah and I went out of town for the weekend for my Godson's high school graduation.  It was a much needed break from all the flood prep going on in our area.  So far we have not seen any water and hopefully that will continue.  This morning they opened the spillway up at Garrison dam, this is the first time they have ever had to do that.  Watching the video of it on YouTube was amazing.  I just hope the water stays where it should when it reaches us, which should happen sometime tomorrow.

Flood Break

I'll start blogging again as soon as we know what's going to happen with the flooding in our area.  Our house is currently in the "unknown" area.  We not only have the Missouri to worry about, we also have a drainage ditch too.  It looks like we'll have until Tuesday to get prepared, I ordered two truckloads of sand to be delivered.  So let the sandbagging begin.  Ahh, this brings back memories of Grand Forks in '97.  Please keep us in your thoughts.

My Shopping Trip With the News Crew

This morning one of the local news stations tagged along with me while I shopped at Target.  I honestly had not been shopping at Target for quite awhile but luckily I was able to find some great deals to show them.  My total before coupons/gift cards/checks was over $43.  My grand total out of pocket (OOP) was just $7.56!!  Here is what I got:

Huggies diapers $8.99
used $3 Huggies coupon
2 Kikkoman teriyaki sauce $1.49 each
used (2) $1 Kikkoman coupons
Nivea lotion $5.04
used $1 Target coupon
used $3 Nivea coupon
2 Wrigley's 5 gum $1.29 each
used $1/2 Target coupon
used $1/2 Wrigley's coupon
2 Schick razors $6.49 each, get a $5 gift card when you buy 2
used (2) $3 Schick coupons
used $5 gift card from previous shopping trip
Similac formula $5.49
used $10 Similac formula check
Aquafresh toothpaste (travel size) $.97
used $1 Aquafresh coupon
Suave hairspray $2.74
used "Free" Suave coupon from a Facebook offer

I also received an additional $.05 off my purchase since I used my own shopping bag.  Some more coupons printed out from the catalina machine at the store.  One of them happened to be for $3.50 off a box of diapers, since I had another $3 Huggies coupon I decided to grab another box of diapers.  I ended up finding some diapers on clearance for $24.64 so after the 2 coupons I was able to get 88 diapers for only $18.14!!  A pretty great deal if you ask me!

So I basically paid less for EVERYTHING than I would have if I had just bought the bag of diapers at $8.99.  Not too bad huh?
