I got some great deals at Target & CVS this morning. I was able to pick up some formula for Noah with very little cost out of pocket. Here is what I got:
CVS Trans #1:
1 Similac formula $21.99
1 Softsoap refill $3.99
-use (1) $5 Similac check
-use (1) $2 off Softsoap coupon
-use $5/$25 CVS coupon
-use $11.50 ECBs
=$2.48 OOP
CVS Trans #2:
1 Similac formula $21.99
2 Softsoap refills $3.99 each, $4 ECBs wyb 2
1 Veet $4 (clearanced)
1 CVS shopping bag (not pictured) $.99
-use (1) $5 Similac check
-use (2) $2 off Softsoap coupons
-use (1) $2 off Veet coupon
-use ( 1) raincheck for free CVS shopping bag
-use $5/$25 CVS coupon
=$18.39 OOP, received $4 ECBs
I messed up a couple of things on the last transaction. I forgot to give her my ECBs before I gave her the formula check so I could not use them. And I bought the Veet on the wrong card. I should have used my other card because I already did the Veet deal with my card. What I'm hoping will happen is that the clearance Veet will also work for the $5 ECBs wyb 2 Veet products which means I would pay $4 OOP and receive $5 ECBs.
Target purchase:
2 J&J bubble baths $2.44 each
1 Kandoo product $2.84
1 Cheetos $1.29
3 boxes Market Pantry fruit snacks $1.59 each
1 GE energy lightbulb $1 (raincheck item)
5 12 pks. Dr. Pepper
-use (3) $.75 off J&J Target coupons
-use (3) $1 off J&J coupons
-use (1) $1 off Cheetos Target coupon
-use (3) $1 off fruit snacks Target coupons
-use (1) $1 off GE energy coupon
-use (3) $2 off Pepsi coupons
-use $5 Target gift card
=$10.87 OOP, received $5 Target gift card
I will be going back to Target again to get some more pop. I'll get Mt. Dew for myself this time. I also found the fruit snacks by the check-out that are only $.89 so I'll pick up some of those too. I'm so glad I got a raincheck for the GE lightbulbs! We're hoping to change all the bulbs in our home - I'd like to do them all at once to see how much it does affect our energy bill.
LOOK! A Post!!

I thought you could only use one target coupon per transaction? If you can use multiples of the same ones please let me know - it would make my drive over there completely worth it! And I got a $5/50 in the mail from them on groceries - that is the pre-coupon total, right?
Also, if you need more of those bulbs, I bought a 4-pack of the generic ones from Walmart a couple years ago for $8 or so (got 3 packs). They have lasted 2.5 years so far, still going strong. I switched them all out & that month my bill went down by $10. So it only took me 3 months to break even - definitely worth it!
Sarah - the Target coupons do say one/transaction but so far my Mom & I have not had any problems using multiple ones/transaction. Just have to find the right cashier ;) Make sure that the bar code and numbers are legible though - if they don't scan or they can't read them they usually will not take the coupon. I'm unable to print the coupons directly from A Full Cup's website because they aren't clear enough.
Thanks for the tip about the lightbulbs. I think I'll be able to get all of them from Target though. I had gotten a raincheck for 20 of them when they were on sale for $1. Each time I go in they only have 2 or 3 in stock so I always ask if they can give me a new raincheck but they just give the old one back :) Can't complain about that!
BTW - just got back from another run to Target. Bought some Mt. Dew, Cheetos, Fruit snacks and J&J products.
