CVS 6/1

I had a great trip to CVS today.  I lost a whopping penny in ECBs but got some good stuff in the process.  Mike likes the Vitamin waters so that alone was worth the trip.  Here is what I got:

2 Milky ways 2/$1, get $1 wyb 2
5 Vitamin waters 5/$5, get $2 wyb 5
used $1/5 Vitamin water coupon
2 Oral-B toothbrushes $1.99, get $1 for each
used (2) $1 Oral-B toothbrush coupons from P&G saver booklet
Preparation H travel wipes $3.99, get $3.99
used $2 Preparation H coupon
Revlon pressed powder $9.99, get $4
used $6 Revlon CVS CRT coupon
used $12 ECBs
$2.34 OOP, received $11.99 ECBs

I got lucky and got the $6 Revlon coupon from the magic coupon machine when I went there.  I was able to find the powder for $9.99.  Even though it says you need $10 to qualify this item still worked.

This Weekend

Here is what my hubby worked on this weekend:

And here is what I got to enjoy this weekend:

Logan, Noah and I went out of town for the weekend for my Godson's high school graduation.  It was a much needed break from all the flood prep going on in our area.  So far we have not seen any water and hopefully that will continue.  This morning they opened the spillway up at Garrison dam, this is the first time they have ever had to do that.  Watching the video of it on YouTube was amazing.  I just hope the water stays where it should when it reaches us, which should happen sometime tomorrow.

Flood Break

I'll start blogging again as soon as we know what's going to happen with the flooding in our area.  Our house is currently in the "unknown" area.  We not only have the Missouri to worry about, we also have a drainage ditch too.  It looks like we'll have until Tuesday to get prepared, I ordered two truckloads of sand to be delivered.  So let the sandbagging begin.  Ahh, this brings back memories of Grand Forks in '97.  Please keep us in your thoughts.

My Shopping Trip With the News Crew

This morning one of the local news stations tagged along with me while I shopped at Target.  I honestly had not been shopping at Target for quite awhile but luckily I was able to find some great deals to show them.  My total before coupons/gift cards/checks was over $43.  My grand total out of pocket (OOP) was just $7.56!!  Here is what I got:

Huggies diapers $8.99
used $3 Huggies coupon
2 Kikkoman teriyaki sauce $1.49 each
used (2) $1 Kikkoman coupons
Nivea lotion $5.04
used $1 Target coupon
used $3 Nivea coupon
2 Wrigley's 5 gum $1.29 each
used $1/2 Target coupon
used $1/2 Wrigley's coupon
2 Schick razors $6.49 each, get a $5 gift card when you buy 2
used (2) $3 Schick coupons
used $5 gift card from previous shopping trip
Similac formula $5.49
used $10 Similac formula check
Aquafresh toothpaste (travel size) $.97
used $1 Aquafresh coupon
Suave hairspray $2.74
used "Free" Suave coupon from a Facebook offer

I also received an additional $.05 off my purchase since I used my own shopping bag.  Some more coupons printed out from the catalina machine at the store.  One of them happened to be for $3.50 off a box of diapers, since I had another $3 Huggies coupon I decided to grab another box of diapers.  I ended up finding some diapers on clearance for $24.64 so after the 2 coupons I was able to get 88 diapers for only $18.14!!  A pretty great deal if you ask me!

So I basically paid less for EVERYTHING than I would have if I had just bought the bag of diapers at $8.99.  Not too bad huh?

I'm Here - I Promise!!

Hello everyone!  I know I've been gone for way too long, but I have a really good excuse!  Check out these two cuties:

I would like to introduce you to Alexander Taylor and Oliver Louis.  They were born on 9.2.10.  Xander weighed 7#11oz, 19 1/4" long and born at 1:44 pm.  Oliver weighed 6#8oz, 20" long and born at 2:09 pm.

The birth didn't go quite as planned and Oliver was born via emergency c-section.  He ended up staying in the NICU for 15 days.  Oliver was not breathing when he was born and had a couple of seizures once they did get him breathing.  Everything appears to be fine and we haven't seen any complications since he's been home.  It was a super stressful time for all of us but now that everyone is home we have been adjusting to being a family of six!!

Mike was able to be home for the first six weeks which was great!  This week was actually my first full week of being home alone with all of them by myself.  It was stressful at times but we have survived :)

I have still been couponing (when I can get away), I just haven't been posting.  I plan to start posting again soon and actually had a fabulous shopping trip to Target this past week that I want to brag about :)

I hope everyone is doing well.  I've been reading all the blogs and hope you're all still stopping by mine.  I'll update again soon!!

CVS 8/15

I'm still here - doing some bargain shopping when I'm feeling up to it.  The babies will be evicted in less than 3 weeks.  The induction has been scheduled for Sept. 2 and I am ready for the day to come.  We still have a couple things left to purchase though and I am a little stressed about that.  Especially since two of the items that we need (another car seat and crib mattress) we have to get BEFORE they arrive.  Other than that I think we're prepared.  We got Noah moved into Logan's room and that has gone surprisingly well.

I had a great trip to CVS today!  Here is what I purchased:
10 SoBe drinks BOGO free
used (5) BOGO free coupons from SoBe.com
2 Right Guard deodorants BOGO free
used BOGO free coupon
Purex 3-in-1 laundry sheets $5.99, get $2
used $3 Purex coupon
Zegerid OTC $9.99, get $7
used $3 Zegerid coupon (expires today!!)
2 Crest toothpastes $3.49 each, get $2.50 each
used (2) $.75 Crest coupons
Blink Tears $7.99, get $7.99
used $1.50 Blink IP coupon
used $4/$20 CVS coupon
used $18.98 ECBs
=$1.27 OOP, received $21.99 ECBs

My OOP should have actually been higher but for some reason I was able to apply some of my ECBs towards the tax.

I did another transaction since we were out of batteries and the CVS ones are BOGO free this week.

2 - 16 pks. CVS batteries $9.99 each - BOGO free
used $7.99 ECBs
=$2.60 OOP

My OOP would have been lower if I had remembered to use another $2 in ECBs.  Oh well, under $3 for 32 batteries isn't a bad deal :)

CVS 7/17

I've had some great shopping trips to CVS lately and finally think I've got a good supply of diapers for when the twins arrive.  I'll still be buying diapers but now I'll make sure I can get them for under $2-$3 per pack.  Here is what I picked up on Saturday:

Celsius green tea $7.99, get $7.99
used $2 Celsius IP coupon
Huggies pull-ups $8.99, get $3
used $2 Huggies IP coupon
Veet gel cream $10.99, get $2
used $3 Veet coupon (Reinventing Beauty mag.)
used $2 CVS CRT
used $4/$20 CVS coupon
used $11 ECBs
=$5.41 OOP, received $12.99 ECBs

I could have just bought the smaller bottle of Veet to keep my OOP even lower but this bottle gave me over double the amount and since I had the CRT to use on top of the mannie I thought I might as well get more for my money.  And once I figured in the $4/$20 that I was using in the end the Veet didn't cost me anything!

CVS 6/14

I finally had an awesome trip to CVS!  It has been awhile since I really built up my ECBs.  Here is my transaction:

2 Old Spice body wash $4 each, get $4
used BOGO OS coupon
used $2/$6 body wash CVS CRT
Schick razor $8.97, get $4
used $5 Schick coupon
will submit for TMF Schick rebate
2 John Frieda shampoo/conditioner $5 each, get $3 wyb $10
used (2) $3 JF coupons
used $1 JF CVS CRT
used $8 ECBs
=$2.97 OOP, received $15 ECBs

I almost doubled my ECBs on this transaction alone!!  I was so happy about my purchases I almost did a happy dance out of the store last night :)
