Some Great Deals!

I just emailed Kmart customer service - you will be happy to hear that they will be doubling coupons (up to $2 in value) July 5-11. So start clipping and printing out those high dollar coupons!

I went to Target this morning and scored on the Lipton deal. I bought 2 boxes (100 ct.) of regular tea, one box of white peach tea and one box of strawberry passion tea. After the $5 gift card and (4) $.50 coupons, I ended up paying less than $.65/box.

I also bought the game the card game Pictureka! There is a coupon available to save $5 on it. The coupon is good for any Pictureka! product - so I got the little card game for only $1.64!! Use THIS coupon to get the deal.

One more great Target buy (although I'm sure you can get them cheaper at Walmart). They have the Del Monte Fruit Chillers for $2.04. Use THIS coupon to get them for close to $1.

I went back to CVS and did the SoyJoy deal on another card. I ended up getting 20 more of them and made $4 doing it. It looks as though the coupon is no longer available up on SoyJoys website so hopefully you printed them out earlier this week.

What great deals did you score? Not able to find the coupons on Red Plum or coupons.com? Try using the zip code 90211.

CVS Trips

I did two CVS transactions today and got some great deals. I scanned my cards at the magic machine and got some great coupons to use! I received a $10/$50 and a $5/$30 so I had to re-work my scenarios so that I could get up to those amounts. All together I only spent $4.79 OOP and built up my ECBs on one card.
Here is what I got:

First transaction:
10 SoyJoy bars $4/4, $4 ECBs wyb 4
-used (3) BOGO Free coupons
3 Always Infinity packs $4.99 each
-used (3) $4 off Infinity coupons
1 24 pk. CVS brand water $3.99 (not pictured)
1 Reese's Pieces $.67 (filler item)
-used $5/$30 CVS coupon
-used $9 ECBs
=$.73 OOP, received $8 ECBs

So even though I bought 10 SoyJoy bars I only received $8 in ECBs. I'm guess you must have to buy them in quantities of at least 4. I'll be going back on Friday and buying at least 2 more of these - hopefully another $2 in ECBs print out for the deal.

Second transaction:
20 SoyJoy bars 4/$4, $4 ECBs wyb 4
-used (2) $2/10 SoyJoy bars coupons
1 Kotex product $3.50
-used (1) $2 Kotex CRT
-used (1) $1 Kotex coupon
2 Always Infinity products $4.99 each
-used (2) $4 Infinity coupons
5 12 pks. Mt Dew 4/$13 get 5th free $3.25 each (not pictured)
-used last $2 Pepsi coupon from Pepsi/Lay's deal
2 Starbucks frapp drinks $2.29 each, get $1 ECB wyb 2
-used (2) $1 Starbucks frapp coupons
-used $10/$50 CVS coupon
-used $18 ECBs
=$4.06 OOP, received $21 ECBs

The bad thing about this transaction is the fact that I now have a $20 ECB to use. I'm going to attempt to use that on Friday - we'll see how that goes. Wish me luck!!

New Stockpile Space!!

Sorry for the absence from the blog - we've been pretty busy lately. Last week, on Tuesday, we got hit with almost 6" of rain in less than 24 hours and our basement ended up flooding. Everything is fine now but we spent a lot of time running the carpet shampooer, running fans and going through boxes to get rid of the stuff that wasn't salvageable. Our house is still in a bit of disorder but now that the carpet is dry we'll be able to take things back down there.I don't have any deals to post tonight (Noah & I are going to some stores tomorrow) but I have to show you what Mike built me. I have 11 new shelves in our storage area! And there is room for at least another three!! I have so much room to put all of my grocery items. This is going to be so nice since I don't have a lot of cupboard space in the kitchen.Do you like what you're reading? Kmart Doubles Week

This is from my second shopping trip to Kmart this week. I'll be going back at least one more time. The Off clip-ons are a great deal! Use THIS BOGO free coupon and pair that with the $2 coupon from the recent insert and you'll get both of them for only $3.49 (make sure to give the $2 coupons first)!! I have one more BOGO coupon so I will be doing that deal again!
Here is what I got for only $23.68 OOP:
-2 Axe body washes $.29 each
2 $2 Axe coupons
-1 Axe shampoo $.99
1 $2 Axe coupon
-4 Ready-made Similac formula $1.50 each
4 $2 Similac coupons
-2 Huggies pull-ups $5.99 each
2 $2 Huggies pull-up coupons
-1 Chinet dessert plates $1.29
1 $1 Chinet coupon
-2 Off clip-ons $3.49 for both
1 BOGO off coupon
1 $2 Off coupon
-2 Irish Spring body washes $.99 each
2 $1.50 Irish Spring coupons

When I got to Kmart I asked if I could use more than 10 coupons and the cashier told me that yes I would be able to. I wish I had thought to ask after I made the first trip there because I might have been able to avoid going for a third time. Oh well. Live and learn right?

Welcome to the June Charity Challenge! Did you build up your stockpile this month? I got some great deals at CVS this month! I had a garage sale towards the end of May - I sold some of my stockpile there so I'm happy that I could build it back up again. I also got some stuff to donate. I'm donating to the Ronald McDonald house again. They are so appreciative and thankful for all the items I can give. Pictured above:
-6 boxes Kotex
-1 hairspray
-4 tubes of toothpaste
-1 shampoo
-1 conditioner
-3 razors
-7 bars of soap
-2 glucose meters
-7 deodorants
-3 icy/hot packs
-2 mouthwashes
-1 pkg. of cotton pads
Estimated value = $145!!

Now it's your turn!! Did you make some donations to your local charities? Leave your link - I would love to see. Also, please link back to me to spread the word of the Charity Challenge - thanks!! Don't have a blog?? That's OK too, just leave a message in the comments :)

CVS is Back!! *Update*

I could not believe the deal I found on CVS.com - it sounded too good to be true, but it is true!! I just bought 210 diapers for $2!! This deal is only good through today (for ALL coupon match-ups). But even if you get there sometime this week you can still snag the diapers for around $3/pack which is still a great deal. Be sure to print out THIS page and take with since the ECBs are not automatically generated. Here is the deal:
buy 3 packs of diapers $8.99 each
-use (3) $2 off coupons (from P&G brand saver coupon booklet)
-use $5/$25 CVS coupon
-use $14.97 ECBs
=$1.42 OOP, received $15 ECBs

How can you beat a deal like that? I've done that deal twice so far. I used all of my $2 coupons but I still have some $1 ones. After today I won't have the $/$$ coupon to use either but I will still be able to get 3 packs of diapers for around $3/pack - that's a still a great deal to me!!

*Maria's comment made me remember something about my experience: the ECBs did not print out! At the first CVS I visited I showed them a copy of the cvs.com page. The cashier paged a manager up and the manager looked it over. He went to verify the offer but couldn't bring up the web page and also could not get ahold of the ECB dept. (closed on Sundays). He offered to print out $5 in ECBs, take down my name and number and call me once he was able to talk to someone at cvs.com. Less than 10 minutes later, he had called me and said he had spoken to them and they told him he would have to manually print out the ECBs. This was exceptional customer service! The next CVS that I visited I showed the cashier the print-out from the web page and she just manually printed out the $15 in ECBs. So if the ECBs are still not printing just ask them to call corporate after you show them the print-out. Hope this helps :)

Here is the Dove deal that I did today also: (unfortunately the Dove coupons expire today too)buy 2 bottles of Dove shampoo 2/$7

buy 4 bottles of Dove conditioner 2/$7

-use (2) $1 Dove shampoo coupons

-use (4) $1.50 conditioner coupons
-use $4/$20 CVS coupon

-use $7.99 ECBs

=$1.55 OOP, received $10 ECBs

I didn't plan on doing the Dove deal but once I got to CVS and started running the numbers I couldn't pass up a deal where I actually built up my ECBs :)

I plan on doing the diaper deal at least one more time and I still have to get the Dawn dish soap. Did you find any great deals at my favorite store? Let me know in the comments!!

Garage Sales

This morning I went out with my Aunt, Grandpa and Noah to hit some garage sales. I found some great deals. Below is a picture of some of the stuff I picked up. Not pictured are 2 pairs of jeans (for me), a CD player/radio (for Logan), 2 pairs of snowpants (for Logan) and 3 perennials for the backyard.Pictured are:
-7 pairs of PJ's
-2 pairs of jammy shorts
-2 onesies
-1 Harley-Davidson jean jacket
-2 books

I bought all of the items for under $34. The 3 plants cost me $10.50 but at the store one of them would cost me that! Logan's CD player was $10 - which was a great price! He's going to love being able to listen to his music again (his other CD player would skip). I also found quite a few PJ's for Noah which is perfect since that is what I really needed to find.

One Trip

On Tuesday I made my one and possibly only trip to CVS this week. Their ad is quite disappointing this week. I did see that they have an Aveeno deal so I might try to do that since I have loved all of the Aveeno products that I've tried so far. Here is what I got on my trip:I bought 4 bibs. And the only reason I got those is because they were clearanced for $.99/2 pack. I couldn't pass up the good deal :) So what have you found this week at CVS? Any deals you couldn't live without?
