Olay Gift Cards
I did a quick trip to CVS this morning to take advantage of the 2 $15 gift cards that Olay is offering right now. Visit their website for the full details. Here is my transaction:
Buy 2 Olay regenerist cleansing cloths $11.98 (bogo 50% off)
Buy 1 Olay definity pore redefining scrub $8.99
Buy 1 Olay definity illuminating cream cleanser $8.99
-use (1) $5/$25 CVS coupon
-use (1) $3 off facial care product CRT
-use (2) $3 off olay definity cleanser coupon
-use (1) $3 off any 2 olay facial cleansers
=$14.28 OOP, get $30 in gift cards
When I got home and began filling out the rebate form I realized that it says you must have the original sales receipts for both transactions so I called the P&G rebate center and they verified that yes, you need the original for each. So I called CVS and they told me they are unable to print out two copies of a receipt but they can print out a computer copy - I'm hoping that this will work. I plan on making copies of everything that I mail in and hopefully I'll be getting the $30 in gift cards in 6-8 weeks.
*you'll want to hurry if you do this offer - some of the Olay coupons expire on 12/31!!

Quick Trip
I made a quick trip to CVS this morning. I had a $5/$15 purchase CRT (cash register tape) that printed out yesterday. It was expiring in 3 days so I needed to act fast! I picked up some batteries because I'm sure Logan will be receiving some toys for Christmas that will take batteries. They had Energizers on sale so I picked them up. I was also hoping to stock up on the Arm & Hammer cleaning products ($2.99, get $2.99 ECBs) but they were completely out :( Here is my transaction:

Buy 1 size C 4 pack Energizer batteries $5.99

CVS Week of 12/21-12/27
I only did one transaction at CVS this week. But who knows - I might go back after Christmas!! We'll see if they tempt me with any deals. I had $9 in ECBs to use for the purchase.
Buy 1 Hall's Natural cough drops $2.59, get $2.59 ECBs
Buy 1 Excedrin express gels $3.99, get $3.99 ECBs
Buy 2 Crest Pro-health toothpaste $2.99, get $2 ECBs

I could have left off the three J&J products and still been over the $25 mark, but I needed to pick up the cotton swabs for my boys. Paying under $3 for all these items still is not too bad and I built up my ECBs for next time too!!

CVS.Com
-CVS was running a promotion of save $10 off your $50 order
-along with this promotion if you entered the codes "mastercard" and "medicare" in all caps you would save an additional $10 & $5 respectively
-Olay was also running a promotion that if you bought $50 of Olay products you could fill out a rebate form for $20
Today I got the box in the mail from CVS. I had placed the order back on December 1st. I had received an email from them saying the order would be delayed which worried me a bit since the rebate for Olay had to be postmarked by Dec. 20th. Luckily I shouldn't have to worry about that.
So here is the breakdown of what I received:
-Olay Definity pore redefining scrub ($10.99)
-Olay total effects nourishing cream cleanser ($9.99)
-Olay deep penetrating foaming moisturizer ($29.99)
=$54.03 - coupons ($25) - Olay rebate ($20)
=$9.03 OOP
I got a great deal!! I also found some more surprises in the box. In the picture you can see all the freebies that were included and all of them except the Always Infinity included coupons.
Cream Cheese Cookies
Thrifty Jinxy is hosting a cookie exchange, so I thought I would join in on the fun! These cookies are SO delicious and super simple to make! They freeze wonderfully and you can tweak them to your favorite flavor.
Cream Cheese Cookies
1 box cake mix - any flavor (I love using Strawberry)
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 egg yolk
1/4 tsp. almond extract
Mix all ingredients together; try not to consume all the dough (it tastes like flavored cream cheese). Chill for 3o minutes (if you live in ND, like I do, just set outside). Preheat oven to 375*. Roll dough into 1" balls. Cook for 11-13 minutes; until golden brown around the edges. Cool on wire rack and try not to eat them all!!

Welcome
Welcome to my new blog. I decided to start this so that I could have a separate place to fully document my shopping at CVS. I'm sure I will post other deals here from time to time but it will mainly be about CVS. I have been shopping at CVS consistently since July of this year. I decided with the arrival of my second child (Noah) I needed to find a way to save on all the baby items (mainly diapers, baby wash and formula) that I would be purchasing yet again. I discovered a ton of blogs to help me save money in those areas but I also found out how to NEVER pay more than $1 for shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste and razors! I hope you'll continue to stop by and join me on my money-saving adventure!
